Full Tilt is one of the biggest names in the online poker industry. The room experienced a rapid increase in player volume after it kept its doors open to US citizens whilst other big name rooms stopped them from playing. The room is well marketed with many advertising schemes online and offline, which helps to attract large numbers of new and experienced poker players to the room on a regular basis. The sheer volume of players means that although Hold’em is still the most popular game, you will have no problems finding a healthy amount of competition in any of the other games on offer at the room.
The table graphics are fully customisable, as you are able to change the background, table design and avatars to be displayed. The avatars themselves may appear a little childish, but they do not prove to be an annoyance when you sit down and play. Even if you have a serious dislike for them it is possible to switch them off in the options menu when choosing a table design. The software is quick to load and connect, and there are rarely any problems whilst it is running.
Full Tilt also has some of the softest competition out of all the online poker rooms. This is mainly due to the number of players at the room, and also due to in part the way the room is marketed. Full-Tilt should be at the top of the list for any regular player looking to make the most money possible from online poker.

Welcome to Full Tilt Poker, where you can Learn, Chat and Play with the pros. To help provide you with the best possible online poker experience, we've created many unique features for your enjoyment. In order to familiarize yourself with Full Tilt Poker, we suggest you keep this page open alongside the game software.
Finding Your Favorite Games
Full Tilt Poker offers a wide variety of games and tournaments, with structures and buy-ins designed to for all kinds of players with all sorts of bankrolls. We provide many ways for you to find your preferred games.
- In-Game Messaging - Each time you open the Full Tilt Poker software, you will see a Welcome Window outlining the day's events and providing information on upcoming tournaments. In addition, the message box in the top right corner of the main lobby, as seen below, will provide countdowns to highlighted tournaments starting within the hour.
- Tournament Color-Coding - We use different colors to highlight key tournaments. The grid below will guide you to the tournaments you want to play:
Black - Cash tournaments
Green - Winner's Choice tournaments and other events where you can win seats at live tournaments such as WPT and WSOP events
Orange - Satellites for Aussie Millions or the WSOP (alternating throughout the year)
Pink - Guarantee tournaments |
- Tournament Satellites - Many of our tournaments offer satellites. When you open the lobby for an event before it starts, you will see a list of all of the satellite events that can earn you a seat in the main tournament you selected. the image below highlights the satellite window.
Auto Center
At Full Tilt Poker, you can place yourself at any seat you like at any table you are playing. By default, our software will automatically place you in the bottom center seat. If you would like to select another seat at the table, just right-click on the pod where you want to sit and then click "Place Me Here." To disable the software from automatically seating you in the bottom center seat, click on "Auto Center" in the Option pull-down menu in the main lobby.
Turn Off Avatars
Full Tilt Poker provides players with the option to select a personal avatar to represent them at the table. If you prefer not to see these avatars while you play, you may disable them by clicking on the Avatars option in the Options pull-down menu in the main lobby. You may also turn avatars on and off while seated at a table by checking the Avatars box in the Options tab at the top right of the screen.
Chat Filter
At Full Tilt Poker, we offer a variety of Chat options to make your game more enjoyable. Our default setting will let you see Dealer announcements for each hand, as well as chat from your fellow players and observers. You may filter your chat settings by clicking the Options tab at the top right of the table.
